May you practice holding space and love for where you are at in life and where you want to go.
And all while doing this, know that:
You can be brave and scared.
You can be joyful and sad.
You can be hopeful and exhausted.
‘The Both/ And’ is both
- a loving reminder that you can experience seemingly contradictory emotions all at once
and it's
- an invitation for you to hold space for yourself throughout this.
The story behind the artwork:
The concept of ‘The Both/ And’ honors the full, complex realities that life presents in which you can experience seemingly contradictory emotions. All throughout our IVF journey we experienced this.
We were:
Excited for each embryo transfer and scared it would not work.
Hopeful for each new chance and exhausted from all the medical procedures.
Grateful for the support from loved ones and sad that we needed to go this route.
Both. And.
Of course ‘The Both/ And’ extends far beyond IVF and it can show up in all areas of your life:
You can be grateful for a new job and overwhelmed by its demands.
You can adore your partner and still want time and space to do your own thing.
You can be delighted about becoming a parent and exhausted by how much your life has changed.
You can be excited about moving to a new home and frustrated by how much work moving is.
Creating space for your feelings isn't always easy, but it offers so much relief and compassion. And the true art in life is to keep granting yourself that space over and over again.
An original mixed media painting, 73x92 cm, acrylic paint, oil pastels, charcoal.
The painting has been built, layer by layer, mark by mark, until a beautifully, balanced work of art emerged – colorful and complex. This piece is absolutely gorgeous and radiates the multitudes of feelings that we humans get to experience.
Thank you for supporting my work. Creating this art and sharing it with collectors around the world is a deep honor.

Shipping
All original artwork is shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity and then wrapped in multiple layers of acid-free packaging, padded and shipped in a well-fitting sturdy cardboard box or flat mailer.
All art prints are wrapped in protective packaging and shipped in a well-fitting sturdy tube or mailer.
The majority of artwork will be shipped via PostNL. Most domestic packages arrive within 3-5 business days from the time of shipment.
All shipments include tracking and you can choose to have it shipped with insurance. I ALWAYS recommend shipping with insurance, because sometimes life happens!
I love shipping art globally! Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on package weight and distance. Large paintings that are shipped internationally may have to be unstretched and shipped in a tube due to a) safety reasons and b) shipping companies' regulations regarding the maximum size of a package. You can get your painting restretched of course and I'm happy to advise you on that!
International buyers, please note that border fees, handling fees, etc. may be charged based on the destination country. Please contact me via the contact form on the website or email me at BethanyKristineArt@Gmail.com with questions or to receive a shipping estimate. -
Returns
Every order, commission and sale is handled with care and as much clarity and transparency as possible. My goal is for you to be delighted with your purchase! I typically try to stay in contact throughout the process of shipping and handling in order to maintain full transparency and ensure you are completely informed along the way.
Please take time to read descriptions carefully and to check the colors on multiple screens if you are concerned about color variations. I try my best to represent the colors, textures and tones in my work clearly and realistically.
All sales are final. But of course, sometimes life happens. Please email BethanyKristineArt@Gmail.com if there is an issue with your artwork.
If you are concerned about your package getting lost or damaged during delivery you can choose to have it shipped with insurance (I do recommend this. Especially with original paintings and/ or international shipments).
I am not liable for any mishandling or failed delivery by the shipping service and I am not liable for any damage incurred post-delivery. I take great care to package each order safely in sturdy materials with ample support and notice that the package should be handled with care.

Art for your home, Love for yourself
Each painting maps out a journey of discovery. Through shapes and colors I reimagine ways in which we can support ourselves into greater self-connection, emotional intelligence, and joy.
